Maine Coast Fishing Families Cookbook

MCFA's Monique Coombs and Rebecca Spear, two fishermen's wives, are collecting recipes to create a Maine Coast Fishing Families Cookbook, and they need your recipes, stories, and photos. With so many people buying and eating local seafood right now, it's a great opportunity to reinvigorate a fishermen's wives tradition and create a seafood cookbook of fishing family recipes.

These cookbooks will be published and sold and all of the proceeds will be donated to the Maine Coast Fishermen's Association efforts to continue to conserve Maine's working waterfront and family fishing businesses. You can email your recipes to or

Creating cookbooks featuring recipes from fishing families is a time-honored tradition in Maine's coastal communities, and we hope that others will be just as excited as we are about this project.

We are also looking for sponsors to help alleviate printing costs.

If you are interested in donating please do so HERE.
