Director of Operations
Reports to: Executive Director
Position: The Director of Operations will have both internal and external facing responsibilities and will assist the Executive Director to support the mission and goals of the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association by managing internal organizational operations, lending expertise to programmatic needs, and assisting with fundraising.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the organization’s activities, professionalism and confidentiality, budgeting, writing, organizational skills, influential leadership, the ability to work independently and make critical decisions without oversight.
This position is full-time with a salary range of $50,000 to $55,000 depending upon experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Works and executes with the Executive Director on internal administrative, financial and personnel policies

Monitors and maintains the ongoing communications with representatives of supporting foundations

Works with staff to determine how efficiencies can be gained through the leveraging of resources, personnel and/or messaging

Works with the Executive Director, program team, and Board of Directors to develop effective strategies to further the organization

Works with the Executive Director and Development committee, to ensure program team are actively engaged in development strategies and activities

Helps develop a shared understanding of internal fundraising strategies between program team and development committee

Ensures efficient functioning of board committees through oversight of scheduling, agendas, minutes, and actions

Ensures that information about MCFA programs and campaigns is communicated clearly and effectively to board members

Lead or support programmatic work in coordination with other team members

Strong project management skills and experience

Strong analytical, organization and prioritization skills

High level of initiative and desire to meet specific goals
